Alizz Islamic Bank ’s Long-Term National Scale Rating Raised d ue to Improving Sovereign and Operating Environment Risk
Capital Intelligence Ratings (CI Ratings or CI) today announced that it has raised Alizz Islamic Bank ’s (A IB) Long-Term R ating on the Oman National Scale to ‘ omA A A ’ from ‘ om AA ’. The Outlook for the rating has been revised to Stable from Positive . These changes follow CI Ratings’ one notch increase in the Operating Environment Risk Anchor ( OPERA ) to ‘bb’ from ‘bb -’ and also take into account the recent upgrade of Oman’s sovereign rating to ‘BB+’ from ‘BB’. At the same time, CI Ratings has affirmed AIB’s Short-Term N ational R ating at ‘omA1+ ’ .
