Nat ional Finance Company – National Rating Outlook Revised to Positive

Capital Intelligence Ratings (CI Ratings or CI) today announced that it has revised the Outlook on National Finance Company’s Ratings on the Oman National Scale to Positive from Stable. The change follows CI Ratings’ recent revision of O man’s sovereign rati ng s outlook to Positive (from Stable) . The Company’s Long- and Short-Term National Ratings have also been affirmed at ‘ omA-’ and ‘omA2’, respectively.

The Positive Outlook for NFC’s ratings reflects the improving operating environment in Oman and stronger economic growth prospects, which could in turn have a positive impact on the Company’s financial metrics in terms of financing and deposit expansion capabilities. The continued recovery of businesses from the pandemic-related slowdown is also likely to stabilise financing asset quality….
