PRIVACY POLICY
This Policy sets out the basis of the collection, use and processing of any personal data collected from you or provided by you to Capital Intelligence Ratings Ltd (CI). CI is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and we ask you to carefully read the Policy so as to understand our views and familiarise yourself with our practices regarding your personal data and how it is used.

Our use of your information and data collected on CI website is subject to the European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) with regards to the protection of natural persons and the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

- “data controller” is Capital Intelligence Ratings Ltd (CI).

INFORMATION COLLECTION
CI may collect personal data in the course of offering our products or services to you such as the name, company name, business address, e-mail address, phone number or financial information to enable us to provide requested information, products or services to you or collect personal data where we are required by law.
Personal data is also provided by you when you register to become a Member or a Subscriber. The registration process requests that you provide your full name, company name, business address, e-mail address and phone number. You do not have to provide us with any personal data to visit our website; you may visit our website anonymously, however you will not have access to all of the information available to our Members and Subscribers.
COOKIES AND TRACKING TOOLS
Tracking tools are files or tools which are placed on your computer in order to identify your web browser and the activities of your computer on our website. CI uses a tracking tool called a session cookie to allow Members and Subscribers to log onto and browse the Site easily without having to authenticate each time a new page is visited on the Site.
Session cookies are valid only for your online session and stored in your Web browser's memory thus they are automatically deleted when a Member or Subscriber logs off or closes the browser.
USE OF PERSONAL DATA
What do we use your information for?
CI does not sell or share any personal data provided by you. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason.
The personal information provided may be used in the following ways:
- to personalise your experience as your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs;
- to improve our website as we continually strive to improve our site offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you;
- to improve customer service as your information helps us to more effectively respond to customer service requests;

We may share your information to third parties where this is reasonably necessary, for them to perform the purposes set out in the policy on our behalf provided that each third party agrees to use the practices mentioned in this Policy so as to protect your personal data.
STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Personal information and data provided may be held at our offices but may also be transferred to servers, databases or third parties located outside the European (EEA) Economic Area. The personal information and data you provide to us may be transferred and stored outside the EEA for the purpose of carrying out our administrative functions, the fulfilment of the services you request from us and other functions necessary to fulfil our obligations to you. We will store your personal data for such period deemed reasonable and necessary for the purpose it was obtained and to enable us to carry any conflict of interest checks or to respond to any questions made by you or on your behalf and in any event for a period which we are legally required to retain relevant information and not exceeding five years.

Users may, through a link, gain access to websites operated by persons other than CI. CI is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these websites. You should review the applicable privacy policies in connection with your use of such third party websites.

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure or unlawful use, we have established suitable electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information collected online and we have limited the access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to access it.

CHANGES TO THE POLICY
This Privacy Policy was last updated in May 2018. The Policy may change from time to time, however where changes occur, we will inform you of the revised Policy and provide reasonable prior notice of substantial changes in how we use your information, including and where appropriate by email.
